Our Story

The Whitehouse Players have been performing in and around central Wisconsin for 10 years. We love what we do and it shows on and off stage! Marty Cheyka (lead guitarist), and his wife Shelby Cheyka (lead vocalist), have been in the music business for more than 20 years.  In 2001 Shelby signed a national recording contract with beat club / Interscope records, with Marty as her producer.  That same year their song “Cinderella” was placed on the soundtrack for the independent film “Magic Rock”.  Marty and Shelby also own and operates a successful recording studio “Whitehouse Productions”.  Charlie Strong (bass), has been playing in bands since the age of 16.  His musical calling started at an early age. He sung in choirs and took piano lessons for 8 yrs but quickly took to the bass guitar.  At the age of 18 he toured with the prestigious kids from Wisconsin.  He quickly made a name for himself and was recruited by Whitehouse Productions for studio work.  It is then that all of them decided to put together a band hence the name “Whitehouse Players”.  Fast forward to 8 months ago where we brought on board our newest member Shilo Dunlap (drummer).  Shilo started drumming at the age of 11.  He was involved in all the cool nerdy High School band stuff…..jazz band, select state honor percussion ensemble and drum major.  He has played in several bands in and around central Wisconsin but is now officially part of the Whitehouse Players FAMILY.
